History "South America was formed in about 1450, when some Asian nomads came and were later joined by Polynesian colonizers, who were invaded by Spaniards and Europeans." The South Americans/Latin’s were taken over, but they struggled and later got their independence while starting a very good foundation for a new government and colony. The Latin’s struck the Europeans during the time when the Europeans began to lose power. The Latin’s retrieved independence by sections of South, East and North. Each section had a leader in which included Pedro, Simon Bolivar, Jose de San Martin, and many more. Latin Americans fight for freedom was not the only conflict they faced.
South Americans also faced big conflicts such as the Paraguayan War, Pacific War, Chaco War, La Violencia, and Ecuador- Peru conflict. The Paraguayan War was after Argentina got his independence from Spain in 1810, but Paraguay did not want to join Argentina so they declared their independence. After 3 years, Paraguay had a dictator who called himself "El Supremo". After the dictator's death his nephew became dictator, and after him, his son. He got other allied countries like Brazil to go against himself in a war which in which he died and half of Paraguay’s population was destroyed. The Pacific War was in 1864 after Bolivia and Chile signed a treaty, and then about 25 years later Bolivia said they need more taxes, which caused the Chile to occupy the posts, and Bolivia to declare war. Bolivia later gave up, but Chile kept fighting even with other countries). The Chaco War was when Bolivia started colonization on what Paraguay thought was their land. The War ended when there was a treaty organized that split the land for the two countries. The Ecuador – Peru War was when Peru and Ecuador signed a treaty that outlined the border of land they had, but then Peru invaded Ecuador, which lasted ten days after which the Rio de Janeiro Protocol was signed which did not withhold the fights over the believed uranium, but the Montevideo is working well enough, atleast for now. These types of wars have certain downfalls to their development and culture, but South America has recovered well.
There is a lot of tension in South America with the high drug problem and constant fights. These fights have caused damage of development of cities and education, but most people still have their religion to look at. South America has a great Variety of mixed religions because of the indigenous people that lived in South America, because of cultural borrowing and diffusion. This truly affects South America because of the different cultures shown, as well as the different problems seen.
